My Class Card ("we," "our," "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information We Collect
- Account information: email address and password, used to create and secure your school staff account.
- Profile information: name, role, school, district, photo, "About Me" text, classroom/LMS link, announcements, supply list, and contact information — all entered voluntarily by staff members to build their card.
- Payment information: subscription billing is processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your card number or banking details.
- Referral and payout information: if you participate in our referral program, we store your referral code and, if you choose to receive payouts, connect you to Stripe's payout system (Stripe Connect), which handles your bank details directly.
- Usage information: basic app usage data to help us maintain and improve the service.
Parents and Children
My Class Card is designed for use by school staff and by parents browsing publicly shared staff cards. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Parents are not required to create an account to use the directory.
How We Use Information
- To provide and operate the app, including staff card creation and the parent-facing directory.
- To process subscription billing and referral payouts.
- To communicate with you about your account or provide customer support.
- To maintain the security and integrity of the service.
Sharing of Information
Staff card information (name, role, school, photo, and the other fields listed above) is intentionally public and visible to parents browsing the directory within your school district. We do not sell your personal information. We share information with service providers strictly to operate the app, including:
- Stripe, for subscription billing and referral payouts.
- Supabase, for secure account authentication and data storage.
Your Choices
You can edit or remove information from your staff card at any time within the app. You can permanently delete your account, including all associated data, from the Account screen in the app at any time.
Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your profile, staff card, and related data are permanently removed from our systems.
